So this morning was a little bit of soul searching time for me as i took into account a lot of what different people have been saying in the comments on my blog recently [and over a longer period of time].
i realised that not only are some of the things that have been said true, but also came to think of some other things i’ve been doing that have actually been completely unacceptable and so i needed to apologise. And for something of this magnitude, i didn’t think written word would actually be enough. So i went for face-to-face by recording this shortish video in the hopes that those i’ve wronged will see it and really hear my heart on these things. And that we can move forwards together in the hopes that i can be better moving forwards.
So thank you for the words that caused me to really think about these things – i hope i am a changed man:

Thanks for taking the time to do a video response. I wonder why you are putting on an accent for this video. Obviously you don’t take it seriously. Why don’t you do a video response with your own voice?
Publish this if you are a real man… or not… Answer it if you like a challenge… or not…
1. We know we are not forced to read your blog. However what you are saying on your blog does affect all of us. One person feels justified to be racist against white people. Another, and so on. Until it becomes acceptable to hate whites, or for whites to feel “guilty” for what? Words can be dangerous… eventually white people may just fall down for blacks…
2. Money. You do try to tell us all to give up things to blacks. WE DO ALREADY with taxes… The irritating thing is that you think it is okay for the way government steals from us, because of “white privilege”.
3. You comment about people coming on with different emails. Some do. I have also. The reason is because you delete comments you don’t agree with. You also come on this video with an anon type voice. A new identity. You doing the same!
4. You do seem to hate white people. Especially white afrikaans people. Why do you put on an Afrikaans voice and then act dumb? Do you feel afrikaans people are dumb?
5. You claim to love South Africa. But you’ve been away for 3 years? lol.
6. “Restitution”? Lol not gonna happen. Nobody wants to give up their hard-earned things to freeloaders. Deal with it.
7. People are not just going to leave SA. What you want is to always be going the extra mile for blacks while we are being victims of crime.
If you love SA so much, then why not balance your blog more. Write more articles on race issues from white perspectives…

Hay Brett, I must admit that I haven’t been reading too many of your blogs about race etc but I know where you’re coming from in terms of loving SA even though you were overseas. My wife and I are from Durbs but currently live in Cairo, Egypt. We felt as though God was calling us to work over here for a time but I am SO excited to move back to SA. I know that God has an amazing plan and I would love to hang out when we move back (probably to CT). Ps. Forcing people to read your blogs…uncool man, uncool ;P hahaha… Keep it real and God bless!
