Chasing LOL – part I

So by now, if you know me, you know that i don’t really believe LOL is a thing.

Apart from someone in my close family who actually thought it meant ‘Lots Of Love’ and actually [true story] sent it to a friend via text who had just lost a family member, as in: i heard your dad died. LOL

But my basic theory is this: If you’re writing LOL [which, family member, stands for Laugh Out Loud] then you’re clearly not LOLing! Because who can type accurately if they are in fact laughing in an out loud kind of manner? [Most people i know shake, do you shake?]

Anyways, one person i know in life who regularly gets me to actually blatantly honestly LOL is my buddy, Dreadlock Mike, and i’m not sure why it is, but when we get together we both become little seven year old gigglers [do seven year olds giggle? whichever age that is, we’re them] which is why i love hanging out with Mike and recently it was Mike and i reading out Jack Handey’s that was bringing out the LOLs.

If you don’t know Jack Handey’s work, then it is my absolute pleasure to share it with you. Different people respond to different thoughts of his and so if you don’t like all of them, that is fine. i am going to post five today and if one of them brings you closer to LOLing than the others, let me know which one it was below…

More poorly drawn lines.

a while ago in a galaxy very very much similar to this one, i shared some random yet witty cartoons from a strip called Poorly Drawn lines which you can see here if you contain great big bags of patience. Otherwise, just keep reading and come back and appreciate those gems later.

fun silly pictures of strange weird part iii

so from time to time i have started googling the phrase “fun silly pictures of strange weird” just because it seemed like the right thing to do to give a bit of the different flavour to Irresistibly Fish and so far it has done that…

first there was ‘obey this sign’ sign and smoking chicken fish
and then there was bacon cat and toilet mug

and what does week three hold? well take a look at some of these:

i felt like creating a fun little blog today but didn’t really have any ideas so i googled “fun silly pictures of strange weird” [as one does] and hit images and came up with these three signs:

so it’s been a bit of a long while since i have watched japanese games shows and i figured there have to be some new ones around – for those of you who may have missed out on human tetris, binocular soccer/football and being-hit-in-the-nuts tongue twisters you can catch up on those over here and then on to here…

so i did a little searching and i did find some new ones [to me anyways] and they have not gotten any less bizarre and one of them even seems like a sequal to nuts, so when you get some time and bandwidth check out the latest Japanese game shows to vibe before my eyes such as:

crazy dodge ball slash chair slash american football slash running lady…

oh wow this is like silent library but with a wall… most bizarre

and an ohmygosh classic add-the-dance-move sequal to tongue twister hit-in-the-nuts
